Reptile Resort Opens!
Now open to the general public!
The Reptile Resort houses many species from around the globe. Additionally, this new structure provides a vital establishment for the park’s reptile and amphibian-focused conservation initiatives.
This spectacular and diverse reptile collection includes several exotic snake and lizard species, integrating spacious, climate-controlled enclosures, live plants and substrates, and a dedicated, passionate crew of keepers, all for the purpose of enriching the lives of our scaly friends.
Each exhibit is designed to provide our cold-blooded inhabitants with the ability to freely move between their indoor habitat and their outdoor quarters. Whether they choose to navigate their way to a favorite outdoor basking spot or prefer the shelter of their indoor residence, you’ll have a great view behind the safety of plated glass. The exterior sanctuary is scheduled for completion by summer 2015. It will provide an equally complimentary addition, one rich and stimulating with vegetation, trees, and water features. In the meantime, the interior structure is open for your viewing pleasure today!
You’ll enjoy the large glass windows providing you the perfect vantage point to observe the wonderment of the reptile world. Get even closer through our floor dome, a clear portal at ground level for that eye-to-eye engagement with reticulated and Burmese pythons!
Whether you are enthralled by the viperids, like a Black Forest cobra, or a Gaboon viper, or captivated at the magnificent colors and behavior of our four-legged friends, such as a Red-tailed iguana, or the giant tegu, this is one exhibit not to miss.
